He returns from work tired, and is in no mood to join the company invited by Mária, his wife. The couple have an argument. Mária feels her life is in a rut, while she is blamed by Péter for not being an enthusiastic housewife. Mária then follows her guests into a night-club, where she is thrown off-balance by Mohai, a suave pianist, who starts courting her fervently.
