Property owner Sean Hastings refuses to extend the lease because he is at odds with God and the world after a severe stroke of fate. When Megan saves his son from drowning, Hastings relents and agrees to a "trade" that requires Megan to make a great sacrifice and tests her human skills. Megan is faced with a difficult decision.
